  • 1994:­ Abitur at Rudi-Stephan-Gymnasium in Worms, Germany.
  • 1995-2002: Studies at University of Karlsruhe (TH), Germany.Diploma in mathematics and computer science.
  • 2002-2006: PhD student at the Chair of Theoretical Computer Science at University of Mannheim, Germany.Dissertation on Algebraic Attacks on Certain Stream Ciphers.
  • 2006-2007: Research staff member at Network Laboratories of NEC Europe Ltd. in the area of security.
  • Since 2007: Post-Doc at the Chair of System Security at Ruhr-University Bochum.
  • Since 2008: Assistant Professor for Cryptographic Mechanisms and Securiy Models at Ruhr-University Bochum.
  • 09/2009 - 03/2010: Acting chair for „Computer Science“ with main focus „Information Security“ at Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany.
